A Wonderful Resource in our Hoover Library
When was the last time you took advantage of something that our Hoover Library has to offer? There are a multitude of resources within just a few miles of home, and if you are not using them you should begin today. From hundreds of DVDs, to free access to the internet, to books on take-away mp3 players, to free movie nights, not to mention loads of wonderful books and much, much more, there is a world of education and entertainment just waiting for you. While the costs of many things are rising these days, the Hoover Library's services remain free of charge and are waiting for you!

Have you heard about the Hoover Senior Center?
Hoover has a wonderful Senior Center located just behind the Hoover Public Library. This is a fantastic facility for those 55 and over. The center is the perfect place to meet others, enjoy a good cup of coffee and participate in activities. The 8000 sq/ft building offers a creative arts room, 2 multipurpose rooms, a kitchen, a lounge, a large screened in porch that overlooks the city and an auditorium that seats 250. Individuals over the age of 55 that reside in the City of Hoover can take part in a variety of fitness, social and recreational programs.
Hoover has teamed up with Jefferson County Office of Senior Services to provide a daily lunch for individuals 60 years and older. A dollar donation is requested. Meals are available on a first come, first served basis beginning at 10 am each day.
